If you didn't know, today marks 15 years since the princess of R&B's passing. One thing that you may not know about me is that Aaliyah is and has been always been one of my favourite artists. My love for her started when I was around 3 or 4 and has never faded. Lord knows why I was singing Rock the Boat like I had any clue what it was about, but regardless her music has always spoken to me. I mean, just listen to the 'Age Ain't Nothing but a Number' album (which she recorded at 15 btw) or her last self-titled album and I promise you will understand why I've been a fan for so long.

* glows and glistens in the sunlight*

It's crazy to think that we are more than half way through 2016. June flew by... or maybe it felt that way because god has finally blessed us with some good weather! Regardless summer '16 has started out pretty strong if you ask me.

The first half of 2016 was a roller coaster. I have to say this year has definitely exceeded last year thus far and I'm hopeful that this will continue.

Lately, I've been really inspired by the looks and style of some very well dressed ladies in the spotlight. My feature womenecent years, these women(and their stylists) have pretty much mastered the ability to combine streetwear, vintage, eclectic, daring and casual pieces together seamlessly. Long story short, these muses have provided tons of style inspo and have motivated me to do some well needed experimenting with my closet.. I've been getting a little too comfortable.

I'm finally back with another outfit post! I know we're almost moving into summer now but who says warm weather always has to mean bright colours? Especially here in Canada where we can experience summer, spring and fall weather all in one day. To be completely honest I don't think I'm quite ready to break out the shorts just yet, but hey I did wear a crop top.. that should count for something.

Lately, I've found that I have been doing a lot of self-reflecting in my down time. I've been really conscious of my attitude and the attitudes of those around me  and I thought that it might be nice to share my thoughts and feelings on this topic with you guys.

When in doubt, you can never go wrong with a leather jacket.
This weeks outfit post is presented by a Zara change room near you .. kidding. I'm in love with Zara and their well lit fitting rooms, but I promise the pics for my next outfit post will be better, so please bare with me!

I don't really know how to start this so forgive me if it's a little bit rough. i figure it would make sense to start off by introducing myself

1. I live in the Toronto.. well I actually the GTA; which stands for the 'Greater Toronto Area' because the city life isn't for me just yet, give it a couple years.

2. I'm studying fashion business and ya girl just finished her first year.

3. All of the money I spend can either be found in my closet or in my tummy.. very problematic.

4. 95% of my closet is black, white and grey, which you will quickly notice in my future outfit posts.

5. I'm obsessed with the culture and style of the 90's. Naomi Campbell, TLC, Azzedine Ala├»a (his collections were genius, he was the king of body-con everything), Aaliyah,  the OG 90210... I'm in love.. with all of it.

We will definitely become more acquainted as time goes on, but we gotta start somewhere right ? Anyways, I hope that was corny enough for you.

I'm excited to use this as an outlet for fashion, lifestyle content and pretty much anything that crosses my mind that I feel is worth sharing.

I'll be back very soon with my first outfit post , so stay tuned !

**To avoid what I can already feel is on its way, my name is pronounced (bre-on-ah).
